Jaipuria School of Business Ghaziabad ICEF Conference - Inaugural Session Highlights 
Chairman Shri Shishir Jaipuria welcomed delegates in a brief meeting and wished them to attain the best from this conference. He wished all the international delegates a formidable stay, hospitality and collaborative opportunity at ICEF 2025. He ensured that the 80 yrs. glory and legacy of Jaipuria, can lead and contribute in the education landscape of the world by collaborating and partnering across the globe.

The inaugural session was addressed by eminent speakers including Shri Manjeev Singh Puri, former ambassador to Nepal; Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO, NASSCOM SSC; Dr. Rajiv Thakur, Director General, Jaipuria School of Business, Prof. Joseph M. Cheer, Western Sydney University; Shri Vinod Malhotra, former civil servant and adviser to the Jaipuria Group; Prof. Weng Marc Lim, Dean of Sunway Business School, Sunway University, Malaysia; Prof. Emeritus Dr. Sushil, IIT Delhi and Prof. Ravinder Rena, Professor of Economics at University of the Western Cape, South Africa. The prestigious conference was held under the patronage of Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman of Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions. 

Welcoming the speakers and delegates, Director General Dr. Rajiv R Thakur said that ICEF 2025 is a "magical conference" that brings together innovators and thought leaders.

Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri emphasized the imperative of business transformation in today's fast-evolving landscape. During his keynote address, Puri underscored that change is the only constant, and adapting to it is crucial for success. 

Prof Weng Marc Lim spoke of the need to embrace the philosophy of science, which emphasizes curiosity, experimentation, and continuous learning, the need for businesses to navigate complex challenges and discover new opportunities. 

Prof. Ravinder Rena emphasized on the need to adopt sustainable practices. He said, “As we navigate this complex landscape, it is crucial that we prioritize sustainable practices, ensuring that the benefits of digitalization are shared equitably and that its negative consequences are mitigated.”

Prof. Joseph M. Cheer underscored the importance of adopting responsible tourism practices. He said, “By prioritizing responsible tourism practices, respecting local cultures and environments, and being mindful of our footprint, we can ensure tourism benefits both travelers and host communities alike.”

Shri Vinod Malhotra talked about the transformation taking place as a result of both our intervention and natural forces.

Speaking on the importance of innovation, Dr. Sushil said that innovation is evolving rapidly, with technology at its core. Radical innovation is paving the way for transformative change. IBM stands as a leading example, driving groundbreaking advancements in the industry. 

Dr. Tan Kim Lim talked on the concept of meaningful work, emphasizing its deeper significance beyond financial stability. He highlighted key dimensions, including its personal nature, contribution to a greater cause, need for adaptation, and its dynamic, psychological impact. While fulfilling, meaningful work also comes with challenges, urging individuals and organizations to adopt a purpose-driven approach.

Discussions on Partnership with James Cook University Singapore and DAV College Nepal Held
During the conference, discussions on partnership with James Cook University Singapore were held. Jaipuria School of Business Ghaziabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with DAV College, Nepal, marking a significant step towards academic collaboration and knowledge exchange. The MOU reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to enhancing global education standards, promoting cross-border academic interactions, and creating impactful learning experiences for students and faculty. This partnership aims to foster research collaborations, student and faculty exchange programs, joint conferences, and mutual learning opportunities in the fields of business transformation, digital innovation, and sustainable practices.
